In Defence Of The Clean Install

Back when I was using Windows full time I used to clean install every 5-6 months without fail, I got so good and so fast at doing a clean install it was like art.

Since I switched to Mac, about 10 years ago, I can count on my fingers the number of clean installs I’ve done, and most of the time those were done “just because”.

Currently I’m running OS X 10.10.5 on a 15″ Retina MacBook Pro, with Windows 10 running in a Bootcamp partition, and when it comes time to update to El Capitan (OS X 10.11) I’m thinking I might go whole hog and do a clean install.

Hmm, wonder if you can clean install without losing the Windows / Bootcamp partition? Let me know if you’ve done an install like that before…
