★ Packing for a week in Switzerland

Later this week I’m heading over to Baar in Switzerland for a week of product training at the SCHILLER HQ, followed by a few days in Gratz, Austria for some other product training. This will be my second trip to Switzerland, last time I went I had a great big suitcase as well as a carry on bag….this time around I’m planning on doing it with just carry on luggage, my GORUCK GR1 and a Crumpler laptop bag

In order to even remotely achieve this I’ve decided to put together a packing list so I can really try and keep this as light weight as possible, and of course I’m going to share it here.

Goruck GR1;

  • 1 pair of jeans
  • 2 pairs of jocks
  • 2 shirts
  • 2 undershirts
  • 2 pairs of socks
  • skins
  • running shorts
  • toiletries
  • laundry kit

Laptop Bag;

  • MacBook Pro (charger)
  • iPad (cable)
  • iPhone
  • noise cancelling head phones
  • Gliff
    -3G Wifi modem

Wearing on the plane;

  • Jeans
  • shirt + undershirt
  • vest park
  • hiking / walking shoes

Traveling this way will keep me nice and light through customs, security, etc. It also means that I don’t have to wait around the baggage carousel, one of my most hated parts of traveling! The other thing that will help too is that I only have an hour to transfer terminals in Heathrow, and if you’ve ever been to Heathrow you know that sometimes that’s no where near enough time.

Anyway, once I get everything packed I’ll snap a photo or two…and hopefully end up on the Pack Light, Go Fast blog.

★ It's been a while

It’s roughly been a month since the last little blog link thing I pushed out on here. Since then I’ve been in and out of meetings, been to Perth for a week, and not played enough golf.

Work is pretty much dominating at the moment. I’m hoping that will change a little after I get back from my European training trip beginning the end of August.
