★ Day 10

Project 365, 10 / 365

10 / 365 – Eggs Benedict is one of my favourite ways to start the day, well Eggs Benedict and Coffee.. The hardest thing about making Eggs Benedict is poaching the eggs. Personally I prefer doing them in a pot of hot water with a dash of vinegar in it, though I have been known to poach an egg in the microwave.

Hrmm maybe I need a coffee shot in my 365, not sure how to get creative with it though. I might have to jump on the Google later and see if I can find some inspiration.

Oh, and Happy New Years everyone! See you in 2010!

★ Day 9

Project 365, 9 / 365

9 / 365 – I got caught out. Yep this is pretty much a throwaway image. The clock was ticking over extra fast yesterday and I still didn’t have my shot, completely and utterly my fault as I didn’t take my camera anywhere with me.

So there’s not much of a story to go with this photo, and hopefully I’ve learnt a vital lesson….

★ Day 8

Project 365, 8 / 365

8 / 365 – With all this rain we’ve had over Christmas my front lawn is now full of these Onion Weed flowers….at least that’s what I think they’re called.

I’m hoping we get a couple of dry days shortly because I really need to mow the lawn.

★ Day 6

Project 365, 6 / 365

6 / 365 – It’s been a rainy couple of days in Newcastle, which is kind of sucky considering I’m on holidays, however I still managed to get out and shoot a few photos.

One of the best things about all this rain is that I’m planning a few marathons, so far I’m 3 seasons into Entourage, and next up will either be Star Wars, or possibly LOST. I’m kind of leaning toward LOST considering that the new season starts up in January, and by the looks of the weather map there’s about 4-5 more rainy days ahead.

Anyway, till tomorrow…..take it easy.

★ Day 4

Project 365, 4 / 365

4 / 365 – Christmas Day! It’s Travis’ first Christmas, and like most babies he had more fun with the paper than the presents.

We had a huge Christmas. Breakfast with the in-laws in Gloucester, lunch with my parents back in Newcastle, a quick afternoon stopover at Cath’s Grandparents also in Newcastle, and then back on the Buckets Way and out to Gloucester. Plenty of driving, but we spent lots of time with the family so it’s all worth it.

★ Day 3

Project 365, 3 / 365

3 / 365 – It’s Christmas Eve and we’re hanging out at the in-laws property just outside Gloucester. Ellen and Daniel, Cath’s sister and her husband, brought down some Rock Melons from the farm where Daniel works and they were the sweetest, juiciest, and tastiest Rock Melons I’ve ever tasted. Mmmmmm so good.

★ Day 2

Project 365 #2 - 365

2 / 365 – Day 2 of my 365 project, and I think photos similar to this will be fairly common in my 365, Travis is way too cute and too easy to take photos of.

Anyway, yesterday was a hot one. We had our work Christmas lunch at Nagisa Japanese Restaurant in Newcastle, and unfortunately there wasn’t any parking near the place so after dropping Cath and Travis off I ended up parking about 2km away and had to walk back in the heat. It’s not a good look when you arrive to a restaurant dripping with sweat.

The food was good, I got a bonus from work, so it was a good way to wrap up the work year.

★ Day 1

Project 365 #1 - 365

1 / 365 – Day 1 of my 365 project, and of my holidays….so where am I? I’m at work doing stocktake.

Fun Fun!

We installed a new Point Of Sales (POS) system at work late this year and seeing as we were starting from scratch we had to spend a lot of time creating and uploading all the new product descriptions and loads of other boring bits like that.

So today was the last day of the business year for us, and with that we organised to do a stocktake so that come January 2010 we’re all prepared! It took about 4 hours to complete the stocktake, and by the end of it I was pretty much over it…despite it actually going to plan completely.

Anyway, that’s Day 1 out of the way. Only 364 left. Too easy….haha
