★ Thunder bolt and lightning, very very frightning

There was an absolute cracker of an electrical storm that rolled through Newcastle tonight. It went on for a good two hours, in fact it’s still flashing out there occasionally now at 11:45 pm.

Here’s a couple of photos shot from the comfort of my sun room, well out of the rain and all that lovely weather. These were all 30 second exposures, f/8.0, and shot on my Canon 5D with the 15mm f/2.8 fisheye on it..
