Quickly share iOS photos with your Mac
There are plenty of ways to transfer photos from an iOS device to a Mac—I generally email them to myself or use Messages—but it can still be a hassle.
Amazing tip! Which you’ll need to go and read on Macworld.

The Mac App Store: Falling In Love Again
Andy Ihnatko on why the Mac App Store makes a lot of sense going forward.
Generating this image was a needlessly long and complicated process. Oh, the app is easy as pie. It was only complicated because I hadn’t really used the app in ages. I downloaded a fresh copy from HDRSoft and looked in my Mail archive for the license code, but I couldn’t find it. I used their website’s automated thingy to have it re-sent to me, but they didn’t have the code on file and it was a holiday weekend.
Dammit!! Why won’t you sync!
True story, I was reading Jason’s article, iTunes: Time to right the syncing ship, just now and he’s complaining about how broken iTunes is, and articulating the issues he’s had with syncing, and how complicated it’s gotten since iCloud sync came along, blah blah, wah wah…and I was about to write a pithy reply saying that I’ve never had dramas with it, and really it’s not that broken, and I then I got distracted and plugged my iPad in to sync it and boom!
It won’t sync!
Damn you @jsnell!
Hopefully a reboot will fix this.
Update:
- fortunately a reboot did fix it, there must have been something janky going on because I had to force quite iTunes, Mail.app, MAMP, and Safari. Time to force a backup I think, just in case!
Amazeballs!
Open the 1Password app on your Mac and click over to the Logins area. You’ll see a big ass list of all of the logins currently stored in 1Password (duh). Now, I want you to position the main 1Password window right next to your favorite web browser.
Next, click and drag one of your commonly used 1Password logins onto your browser’s bookmark bar
Thanks Brett
Brett Terpstra just posted his presentation / show notes from the talk he did with Merlin Mann and David Sparks at Macworld.
David and Merlin haven’t even seen this site yet, I don’t think, so it will be a bit before I get links from their presentations up. I’m posting some of my own notes in the meantime. Watch for news about more tips soon!
This satisfies my inner geek in ways that are difficult to express. Hopefully there will be a video or at least some audio posted from the presentation shortly.
Seeing as all the other cool kids are doing it, I figured I would show you my OmniFocus Stats courtesy of Rob Trew’s handy little app, Quick Stat’s for OmniFocus.
And here’s mine.
