Earlier today I resigned to not getting an iPad 2 today. I ordered one on Apple’s website and figured I would just wait out the quoted 2 week delivery period.

But…… On the way home from work I decided to chance my luck and swing by Domayne Kotara.

I got lucky.

They only had a handful of iPad 2′s and fortunately they weren’t all accounted for. And because I’ve bought plenty of gear there already and they had all my details in their system I was actually the 1st person to buy one at 5:00:45….though the receipt actually says 5:01

I ended up grabbing a 32GB, 3G + Wifi, in black of course. I also picked up the black leather Smart Cover and the Digital AV Adaptor, which I figure will come in handy with my talk next week at the Apple Store in Charlestown.

My new precious is currently syncing so I can’t share any further thoughts at this stage….though it is lighter than the previous model and ‘feels’ better in the hand.

Anyway, I’m off to play.
