★ Heineken : alleged live music photography copyright breach

With the advent of digital photography and the internet, the opportunity of your images to be used inappropriately is there. For months now, the issue of whether Heineken has breached copywrite has been under question, and it has now made it into the media in Ireland. It is a debate that I have been following closely as one of my images was displayed on the Heineken site. Be careful when you post your images on the web.

Heineken Ireland is at the centre of a copyright dispute with an Australian trade union, which claims the firm used copyrighted pictures on a website to promote its links with the Oxegen music festival.
